Pentimento-DVD is the DVD-ROM version of the interactive
video installation Pentimento commissioned by CINEMEDIA for the Australian
Center for the Moving Image in Melbourne.
It deals with the discovery of an unidentified body on the outskirts
of Sydney. A brother and sister are arrested and accuse each other
of murdering their father, whom they allege was abusing them.
However a series of disturbing possibilities trouble the verdict
where perhaps the accused is in fact the murder victim, with the possibility
the father is still alive. For Pentimento narrative
truth operates as an eye in a storm of perplexing possibilities.
